TONY NJOKU HONEY LOVE

Opting to expand his favoured electronic palette on his forthcoming EP Our New Bloom, long-serving TMR favourite Tony Njoku sets free a saxophone-flavoured single in 'Honey Love'. Intended as a sort of sonic comfort blanket, the soft selection of synths and ticking, clock-like rhythms cradle Njoku's syrupy vocals as he explains: "It’s a warm hug from beyond, a caress on the cheek, this hypnotic mantra that’s trying to tell you everything will work out, that you’re cared for. This one I wanted to make as a reminder to myself. There’s a lot of good to be experienced, we want to go towards that.” The piece arrives along some equally enrapturing visuals, directed by Njoku himself, adding extra level of etherealness to the outing. Our New Bloom will be released on the 7th of October through the continually excellent PRAH Recordings, the decidedly more experimental sibling of Moshi Moshi Records. -Holly Mullineaux
